We are manufacturing some types of the polarizers for DUV laser.

Although the polarizers for these DUV laser is manufactured on the special order.
We introduce some types DUV polarizers to below.
Upon requests, we offer various kinds of customized polarizers about structure, performance, etc. of light polarizer.

The polarizers for DUV laser introduced to below has air-space structure so that the junction of crystal prisms may not be damaged by laser light.

MgF2 Crystal Air-Space Rochon Prism

MgF2 Crystal Air-Space Rochon Prism

0.7° at λ=193.4nm
The MgF2 air-space Rochon prism is the typical light polarizer for ultraviolet light.
MgF2 crystal is one of the most transparent crystals to short wavelength(about λ=120nm〜) also in the anisotropic material.
However, it cannot use as light polarizer over a transparent region, because ordinary and extraordinary index are in agreement near λ= 125 nm.

High divergence angle Air-Space Rochon Prism

TWe are also manufacturing the air-space Rochon prism with larger divergence angle than a MgF2 crystal air-space Rochon prism. However, a transmission region becomes λ= 180 nm〜. A large size polarizer is also available.

Generally, if a condensing light or divergent bundle light incident into the Rochon prism which combined crystals, an interference pattern will be generated to transmitted light.

We are also manufacturing the wide filed angle air-space Rochon prism which an interference pattern does not generate in transmitted light, even when a condensing light or divergent bundle light incident.

Total Reflection
The Glan-Taylor prism which can be used at λ= 193.4 nm is also manufactured.
However, since the field angle is small, only parallel rays can be usable.

Air-Space Wollaston Prism

We are also manufacturing the air-space Wollaston prism.

The Wollaston Prism is a polarizing beam splitter, that deviations both transmitted light.
It is a polarizing element in which a wide field angle is large unlike the Rochon prism.
With air-space structure, a prism angle (incidence angle of the light to a slope) cannot be enlarged with a relation with a total-internal-reflection angle.
In such restrictions, an air-space Wollaston prism realizes the biggest divergence angle.

Other Customized Prisms

The light polarizer customized based on the request is also proposed to those other than the above.
Besides air-space structure, manufacture of an optical contact type and adhesion type light polarizer is also available.
We are also manufacturing the visible polarizer, and the infrared polarizer besides UV light polarizer.
